Executive Development
We believe in coaches. In fact, we are coaches.
But we also know that having a coach in for a day can cost thousands of dollars, which can limit coaching opportunities to a select few.
YWP allows for very cost effective executive development on a core skill:
- Executives can SEE how they are coming across, which is a powerful motivator for change
- It is very focused. It is only about one situation, and one “ask”, so limits the risk of diverging off into other issues, which may be important, but not critical
- It can be designed specifically to reinforce other training on “soft skills” that the company may be providing.
- It is packaged in small units, so that costs can be controlled.
- The video and results can be smoothly handed off to company coaches.
Recruiting
We all know The Net Generation brings with them a completely different mindset about work, and how it should be done, than the three generations preceding it that are currently in the work place.
If you’re a company like Google, you don’t have a problem attracting the best and the brightest talent.
If you’re not Google, you may be facing some recruiting challenges, driven by perception, location, or even the size of your recruiting team. We have innovative ideas on how to tailor YWP as a recruiting tool that creates a perception of value in the mind of your potential new hire from the very start.
Inclusion
If you are part of a global company, and these days, most companies are, you know how hard it is to manage diverse talent. YWP can help in two ways.
First, we can help your executives “pitch” opportunities, as part of larger strategic initiatives. For example, some big pharmaceutical organizations have learned that the only way to build a pipeline of women for sales management jobs is to teach their executive teams how to “pitch” those jobs in a way that makes them more attractive to women, who may not otherwise consider them.
There may also be a need to reinforce coaching around diversity initiatives related to differences including generational and cultural. We can help your executives practice what you preach without their feeling criticized or at risk in any way.
Second, we can help you with the development of selected talent, perhaps in partnership with your affinity groups. We have found, through our work with affinity groups, that many diverse individuals want coaching on topics like influence, persuasion, executive presence and the basics of how to have conversations around work/life balance with their boss—all “pitching” opportunities.
